About the CFLCP

The Chattahoochee Fall Line Conservation Partnership (CFLCP) is working to establish a conservation corridor that restores longleaf pine across the Chattahoochee Fall Line region in west Georgia and east Alabama. Together, the CFLCP partners will encourage the protection, restoration and management of up to 40,000 acres around Fort Benning, for conservation purposes, by the year 2020.

This conservation corridor will provide a buffer of natural lands between active military training and daily life outside the boundaries of the installation — while protecting the very unique natural heritage of the region.

The CFLCP is a Local Implementation Team

The Chattahoochee Fall Line Conservation Partnership is one of 17 teams working collaboratively across the historic range of the longleaf pine to re-establish this once prolific ecosystem.  The efforts of each  Local Implementation Team (LIT) support the America’s Longleaf Restoration Initiative (ALRI) which has a goal of restoring the longleaf  pine ecosystem to 8 million acres, across nine states,  by 2025.
